Where we come from:

Alyson and Nick were both born and raised in WNY. Alyson moved to NYC for college where she got her degree in illustration. She fell in love with pen and ink drawings during a study abroad course in Italy, and the rest is history. They moved back to Buffalo (as everyone does) and Alyson worked in agencies, designing weddings on the side until going out on her own full time in 2012.

After moving back from NYC, Nick cut his teeth in small business as a general manager, until he decided to become a letterpress printer. His background in logistics and management, coupled with his meticulous eye for detail, made him the perfect business partner for Rust Belt Love. In 2015 Nick went full time with Alyson to open the brick and mortar store on Main Street in Downtown Buffalo. When he's not home on the presses, you'll know the days Nick is at the shop by the heavy metal music streaming out the door.

After starting a full gut-renovation of their 100 year old home in the Elmwood Village, Alyson and Nick realized that their different skill sets worked {mostly} seamlessly together. Alyson often says, "if you can renovate a house together, you can do ANYTHING together."
